Digital X-rays
When it comes to taking dental x-rays for a restorative or cosmetic dentistry procedure, digital x-rays are faster and far more convenient than conventional machines. The images taken are produced on a monitor in the treatment room, and are clear and easy to understand. The x-ray images can also be computer enhanced to magnify particular areas of the mouth. Our digital x-ray system also reduces x-ray exposure by up to 90 percent, making it much safer than traditional film x-ray images.
DIAGNOdent®
DIAGNOdent® is an amazing piece of dental technology. This precision instrument shines a laser light onto the surface area of the tooth to highlight areas with decay. Since decayed areas reflect differently from healthy tooth structure, DIAGNOdent® can detect subtle differences in the reflected light. This device allows Dr. McArthur to fix problems before they become visible to the naked eye and, more importantly, before they require more costly restorative or cosmetic dentistry treatment.
In-Mouth Video Systems
Our in-mouth video photography system allows Dr. McArthur to take precise pictures of the teeth, allowing patients to see what we see during their cosmetic or restorative dentistry treatment. The system allows us to enlarge a single tooth on the screen to show in extremely fine detail any dental condition patients should be aware of. We can even e-mail copies of the images to patients.
Office-Wide Educational Video System
Patients can watch short, informative videos on dental situations and procedures during their visit using our educational video system. Our video system offers a fun way to gain overall knowledge about any restorative or cosmetic dentistry procedures that interest you. The videos can be viewed in Spanish or English, and we also offer special videos for children to help make their first dental experience fun and relaxing.
Video Glasses
